What is a Black Swan Event?

A Black Swan event is something that is rare, unpredictable, and has massive consequences. The kind of thing that makes everyone say ‘nobody saw this coming’ — even though, in hindsight, the signs were there.

The iPhone (2007) was a Black Swan for Nokia. The internet itself was a Black Swan for the music industry. AI might be the next one for, well, everything.

The catch? You can’t predict a Black Swan. If you could, it wouldn’t be one. The best you can do is stay adaptable.
