What is Post-Scarcity?

Post-scarcity is the idea that technology could make everything so cheap and abundant that traditional money becomes obsolete.

If AI and robots can build, farm, and create infinitely, why would anyone work? Why would anyone starve? It’s a utopian vision — and a scary one. History shows that abundance doesn’t always mean equality. The people who control the machines might control everything else too.

So post-scarcity could mean freedom, or it could mean a world where a few own the means of production and the rest are irrelevant.
