Definition
Allen Iverson (born 1975) is an American former professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential players in NBA history. Despite being only 6 feet tall (1.83 m) and 165 pounds, Iverson played with a ferocity and style that made him a cultural icon. He was the NBA’s scoring champion four times, the MVP in 2001, and led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals that same year. But Iverson’s legacy extends far beyond statistics: he brought hip-hop culture to the NBA, popularized tattoos, cornrows, and baggy clothes in a league that was conservative and corporate, and became the face of the Reebok Answer shoe line.
