Ash Ketchum (Satoshi in Japan) is the protagonist of the Pokémon anime series, which premiered in 1997 and became one of the longest-running and most successful animated franchises in history. Ash is a perpetually 10-year-old Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town who dreams of becoming a Pokémon Master — a title he finally achieved in 2022, after 25 years and over 1,200 episodes, when he won the World Coronation Series and was declared the “strongest Pokémon Trainer in the world.” Throughout his journey, Ash has traveled through numerous regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar), collected badges, competed in leagues, and formed an unbreakable bond with his first Pokémon, Pikachu.
